MISSION STATEMENT:
First Assembly of God Christian Center’s mission is to fulfill the fourfold mission of the church. To Worship God, Make Disciples, Evangelize and provide Fellowship.

VISION STATEMENT – Making Connections… Connecting people to God!

Making connections with people where they are:

There are many ways for this to take place. Many opportunities are beyond the realm of the church as people love, care & share Christ with family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances. We will provide opportunities for people to share their love for Christ and others. We are committed to outreach. We will pray that God will give us creative ways to connect with people in our community and our world.

Everyone is an inviter – Everyone should be looking for opportunities to invite their friends, family & co-workers to a church service, a Lifeline or School of Ministry class, a special event or just to go to coffee. Connection appens everyday, not just Sunday!

Connecting people to God through a relationship with Him.

All people need salvation from their sins (Rom. 3:23) through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We will lead people to worship God and experience him through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We will provide an atmosphere that enhances spiritual growth and maturity. Spiritual growth and maturity is realized by knowing God through His Word, worship, prayer, teaching and mentoring.

We are Dedicated:

To actively reach out to those who need God.

To impact our community by exalting Christ in Central Minnesota.

To impact our world by praying, supporting and working alongside missionaries.

1. The Worship of God – We will do our best to provide an atmosphere where people can worship the Lord in the way that God tells us in His Word. We are to,love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength. Mark 12:30

Worship is characterized by our surrender to God.

Corporate Worship:

Our worship service is to be led by the Holy Spirit, which means, worship takes on a personality. Sometimes boisterous & lively, other times quiet and serene. We will worship God with musical instruments, with singing, (Ps. 144:9) clapping our hands (Ps. 47:1), with hands raised, (Ps. 134:2) bowing before the Lord, (Ps. 95:6) with dancing (Ps. 150:4) as well as in silence (Ps. 46:10) because it is the way God instructs us to worship in His Word. Ministries will provide worship opportunities that will be geared to their respective ages.

Personal Worship:

We encourage people to worship God every day personally bringing glory to God with their lives.

2. Make Disciples – We will provide many opportunities for teaching and spiritual

growth. Though there are many ways for this to be accomplished, we will adopt the “We Build People” philosophy to purposefully direct every potential believer to a relationship with Christ, every believer to maturity, every mature believer to ministry, and every minister to a mission.

3. Evangelize – There are many ways for this to take place. Many opportunities are beyond the realm of the church as people share Christ with family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances. We will provide opportunities for people to share their love for Christ and others. We are committed to outreach; getting outside our four walls. The ways of doing this is varied and without end. We will pray that God will give us creative ways to evangelize our community and our world. We will reach out and love the children, youth, young adults, single & married, young families, middle aged and elderly; people of all races and religious perspectives.

A Mission’s Church - We believe God has called us to be a Mission’s Church. We will pray for mission fields and missionaries. We will go on short term mission trips. We will give financially to support missions, because it is our responsibility to carry out the great commission. Mt. 28:19

4. Community – Every person has a basic need to make a connection. In addition to making a connection with God we need to make connections to those of like faith. They are to be our brothers and sisters in the Lord. We are to be a family. Most of the activities of the church in addition to serving as an opportunity for worship, making disciples and evangelism provide a forum to develop strong lasting relationships. The Bible tells us that we should not forsake assembling together… and we need that all the more as we approach the end times. We need fellowship. Not to the exclusion of the other three. But certainly we draw strength from the prayers, smiles and warm friendship of those who are on this journey with us. It is our desire to offer a spiritual setting where people can make connections with God and with others who love the Lord.

Serving – As part of community we believe that God has called us to serve in our community that we live. There are various ways that we can reach out to serve and bless others in need. We will do our best to be a blessing in Central Minnesota, that God may be glorified through us.

Worship Services:

Sunday 8:45 and 10:30 am

The vision for Sunday morning services is that those who attend here regularly will sense God speaking to them and drawing them closer to God. We want our guests to find First Assembly a place where they sense the presence of God, the love and warmth of a welcoming congregation and that this would be a place where they could grow in the Lord and be discipled. We will regularly pray for people’s needs in the services and opportunities will be given for people to receive salvation through Jesus Christ.

Ministry:

Every person who has a relationship with God through Jesus Christ should seek to be involved in a ministry which exalts Jesus. Each ministry should work hand-in-hand with other ministries so that they compliment each other in the development of each person’s spiritual growth. Ministry leaders should encourage and develop the mission of the church in their area of ministry.

When the church functions as it should, as a healthy body, people are drawn to a relationship with God, lives are transformed, marriages are restored, healing flows and life in the Spirit is powerful. We encourage everyone who attends St. Cloud First Assembly to draw strength and power from this life.
